Mrs. Mattsfield's room had a special reading guest. Mr. White came in and read "The Ghost's Dinner." Students enjoyed his special voices and sound effects that made the story come to life. The students then wrote their own stories about a ghost and what it ate. Each ghost magically turned into their food.






It's 2024 Homecoming week!! Junior high and high school students have been busy building floats for the parade.











Mrs. Long's First grade class is studying camouflage and how animals and plants use it to blend in to their environment. They made camouflage models to show their understanding.








Second grade made root beer floats today after learning about solids, liquids, and gasses this week







Ms. Jenifer's Kindergarten class had a fun dot filled day last Friday while studying the book, The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds

These future Lady Volleycats represented Thayer well in the Mammoth league in August. One team was made up of fourth and fifth graders, and the other was made up of sixth graders. The sixth graders took second place overall in the league!



This past week we were learning about place value in my second grade math group. We have been studying standard form, word form, and expanded form. Playing a game of memory was a fun way to practice reading the numbers in various forms and matching the same number written in different ways.
